January - Listeria in Dole salad
Dole salad was found to be behind an outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes that affected Americans and Canadians.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said 19 people were infected and one person died.
The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) reported 14 cases and three deaths but it was not determined if Listeria contributed to the cause of death.
Dole Fresh Vegetables ceased production of packaged salads at its Springfield, Ohio facility for a time while the outbreak was ongoing.
The firm said it was being investigated by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) in April but there has been no update since.
