October - E. coli O157 in cheese
The debate behind whether an outbreak of E. coli O157, which affected 26 people and was behind the death of a three year old child, was linked to a Scottish cheese firm continued.
Food Standards Scotland (FSS) stopped Errington Cheese selling products adding it believes the firm to be behind the outbreak but the company denied its products were tainted with the pathogen.
At the time of this gallery, the issue is yet to be resolved.
FSS said 15 ill people ate Dunsyre Blue while others were not sure what brand of blue cheese they ate.
