Sujesh Govindan, director – operations, R&D and product innovation, said its focus was on quality spices and functional ingredients. The company has a new slogan: ‘Food beyond boundaries’, and was promoting a wide range of Arabic products. On display at Gulfood were different types of coating for fried chicken, some of which have been fortified with nutrients, and a range of mother sauces (brown, yellow, red and white) which it says can be used as a base for many different products – like the Indian version of a white sauce.
