Ochratoxin A levels in raisins
Czech Republic: Státní zemědělská a potravinářská inspekce (SZPI) has issued a warning due to ochratoxin A levels in raisins from Iran and packed in Slovakia.
Rozinky (ALBERT) 200g date 9/10/2018 and lot E15180017A was involved. The Slovakian firm is Encinger SK of Bratislava.
Laboratory analysis of batches in question detected ochratoxin A at 29 micrograms per kilogram (μg/kg) which is almost triple the statutory maximum permitted dose of 10 μg/kg.
Inspectors took a sample of the defective batch at AHOLD Czech Republic and based on the lab analysis they ordered a withdrawal of the non-compliant batch from all branches of the chain.
