February: Kellogg Company cereal recall due to glass fragments
February: The Kellogg Company issued a recall in the US on three sizes of its Special K Red Berries cereal packs due to possible presence of glass fragments in this month.
The firm told our sister site BakeryandSnacks.com that it was a 'precautionary' recall involving about 36,000 boxes of cereal.
Kris Charles, spokesperson for the company, said: "As soon as we became aware of the situation, we took immediate action to remove the potentially impacted products from the marketplace and immediately addressed the situation with our supplier."
The packs recalled were Special K Red Berries 11.2 ounce, 22.4 ounce twin-pack and 37 ounce and were sold across the US.
