October: Kraft Foods recalled string cheese over ‘premature spoilage’
October: Kraft Foods recalled 735,000 cases of certain branded string cheese varieties over concerns that they may spoil before their ‘Best When Used By’ dates.
Kraft and Polly-O brand products in the US were affected after a number of complaints from consumers of “premature spoilage.”
A recall notice said that none of the products affected were distributed in Canada, and production at its plant in Campbell, New York and distribution had been brought to a halt.
“Kraft has ceased the production and distribution of the affected products from the relevant facility as the company continues its investigation to resolve the problem."
