Rude Health releases organic ‘no sugars’ drinks
Hopping on to the trend of consumers increasingly avoiding sugar, plant-based milk brand Rude Health have released two ‘no sugar’ milks: No Sugar Oat and No Sugar Almond. Both drinks contain no naturally occurring sugars.
Each one is made slightly differently. For No Sugar Oat, the production process is slightly changed so that the oats don’t release any sugars. For No Sugar Almond, however, nothing needs to be done, as almonds are naturally sweet already.
The products were released in 233 Waitrose shops across the UK, alongside online delivery service Ocado, on 12 May.
“I am even more excited than usual about our No Sugars range innovation,” said Rude Health founder Camilla Barnard.
“It’s personally a dream drink because I don’t have a sweet tooth, but I’m big on flavour and we’ve managed to get all the flavour of Oat and Almond with none of the sugars.
“Health is very close to my heart – we are called Rude Health after all – and creating a flavourful milk with absolutely no sugar helps to further our goal of making healthy eating a celebration not a sacrifice.”
Both drinks will sell at an RRP of £2.20.
