Listeria monocytogenes in pork rillettes
Hong Kong: The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) has urged the public not to consume a batch of pork rillettes imported from France due to possible Listeria monocytogenes.
Rillettes pur porc with best before 7 Feb, 2017 and lot number 17009044 are affected.
A spokesman said: "The CFS received a notification from the concerned French authorities that a batch of pork rillettes manufactured by Charcuterie Bordelaise, a French manufacturer, was suspected to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes and the manufacturer initiated a recall of the affected product."
Classic Fine Foods (Hong Kong) had imported the affected product into Hong Kong.
It imported 2.37kg of the product and all of it had been sold out with no remaining stock.
