Glass contamination in olives
13 January - Australia and New Zealand: Woolworths has recalled Homebrand Sliced Black Olives from some Woolworths supermarkets in Australia due to the potential presence of glass.
The glass jar, with metal cap (430g), has a best before date of 4-07-2016 and was sold in Woolworths supermarkets in New South Wales and Western Australia. The shelf stable sliced black olives originated from Spain.
In New Zealand, Progressive Enterprises, the only recipient of the item in the country, is recalling the Woolworths Homebrand product which has the same best before date and size.
It has been sold in Countdown, Fresh Choice and SuperValue supermarkets from 14 August 2014.
