Fonterra recalls cream over E.coli fears
13 Janurary - New Zealand: Fonterra has recalled 300ml and 500ml Anchor and Pams cream as tests show E. coli in some of the products.
The products have been sold in supermarkets, food service outlets and dairies throughout the Upper North Island from Northland down to Turangi including Gisborne, said Fonterra Brands NZ.
The recall involves 8,700 bottles of fresh cream with a best before date of 21 January 2014.
New Zealand dairy farmer representative, Federated Farmers, claimed that the recall proved that Fonterra's 'quality assurance system works'.
