Pukpip offers white chocolate-covered frozen banana
Challenger brand Pukpip will release a white chocolate version of its chocolate-covered frozen bananas.
The white chocolate version, which has hints of vanilla, is only 152 calories, as well as a great source of fibre and potassium. There’s nothing artificial in the snack.
Frozen food – which helps reduce waste and preserve nutrients – is seeing strong popularity at the moment. With its frozen bananas, which in many ways are a healthy alternative to ice cream, Pukpip is taking advantage of that trend.
Another key trend – sustainability – is also important to Pukpip, which upcycles its banana skins back into the ecosystem.
“Our consumer research indicated a demand for frozen snacks that combine a balance of whole fruit with a bit of indulgence,” said Zara Godfrey, Managing Director at Pukpip, “but now the products are in bricks and mortar stores the response has been incredible.
“Our stockists have said that they are flying out of the freezers and consumer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are delighted to be able to add the White Chocolate Dipped Frozen Bananas to the range, which is set to have wide appeal for kids and grown-ups alike.”
Pukpip’s frozen bananas available in multipacks of 3 at an RRP of £3.99, singles coming soon.
