Carbon-offset ready meals
The Wild Hare Group has teamed up with food distributor Cress Co to offer a range of sustainable ready meals to UK consumers.
Created by ‘Michelin pedigree chef’, recipes include slow braised British beef, butternut squash curry, cauliflower & chickpea dhal, and the classic shepherd’s pie. To minimise the environmental impact, any carbon used in the creation of the meals is offset via green initiatives.
The ready meals use all-British ingredients, and the Wild Hare group is currently working towards becoming the UKs first net zero carbon ready meal provider. With the help of carbon tracking start-up Rewild, the brand is able to analyse its carbon footprint and subsequently offset this through a variety of sustainability projects.
