Superfood energy bars and herbal teas
London-based ethical start-up Aduna revamped its existing range of energy bars with a new recipe and branding and launched a range of herbal teas made with African superfood ingredients such as baobab and moringa.
The tea range includes: Lemon, ginger and baobab; Mint, nettle and baobab; Cinnamon spiced cacao; Green tea and turmeric; Rosehip, aloe vera and hibiscus.
Retailing for between €5.64 and €4.22, Aduna is selling the teas through its website and is in talks with health food retailers such as Whole Foods, Holland & Barrett and Ocado as well as mainstream retailers.
The bars are already sold in 2,000 retail outlets in 18 countries.
The start-up is crowdfunding and launched a campaign on Seedrs to raise funds in order to scale up the new product lines and expand its bulk ingredient business.
Aduna has an annual turnover of over £1m (€1.13m) and is offering 7.5% equity for £300,000 (€340,000).
