Granola for kids
Tapping into the trend for healthier food for kids, UK cereal manufacturer Jordan’s, owned by Associated British Foods, has developed a granola aimed at children aged five to 11.
Dubbed Grin-ola, the cereal is available in four flavours: strawberry, banana, apple & raspberry and chocolate.
It contains no artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives and less than 4 g sugar per 30 g serving.
It is also high in phosphorous and iron, allowing for two EU-approved health claims for healthy teeth and bones and the immune system.
The range will be available from 23rdJuly with a recommended retail price of £2.99 (€3.39) per 400 g.
Senior brand manager at Jordans Andrew Dale said: “The kids cereal breakfast market is currently worth £365 million (€414m) and with a history of innovating in the breakfast category, Jordans is in the perfect position to make our first ever move into children’s cereals.”
