Patulin levels in apple juice
Germany: Lauwerth's Natursäfte GmbH & Co. KG has recalled apple juice due to patulin levels.
Product comes in 6x0.7L, 12x0.7L and 6x1L and has date 31-8-2019.
The firm said in a routine inspection a higher than average proportion of patulin was detected in a sample.
Patulin is a mycotoxin and the EU has a limit of 50 μg/kg in fruit juices and drinks containing apple juice or derived from apples.
