Carbofuran in dried goji berries
Czech Republic: Czech authorities have banned seven tonnes of dried goji berries from China containing the pesticide Carbofuran.
Goji Grade A with a shelf life of October 2018 and lot PFT16080 supplied by Qingdao Perfect Import & Export Co is affected. Inspectors discovered the problem at Diana Company which is an importer of food to the Czech Republic.
Carbofuran has been banned in the EU since 2008. It was found in 0.043 mg/kg - ppm and dried goji berries were also distributed to Hungary and Austria.
