Cadmium in squid
Switzerland: AMD Swiss has recalled frozen squid because of excessive cadmium content.
During an official inspection it was found that a delivery of frozen squid imported and distributed in Switzerland by AMD Swiss contains concentrations of cadmium exceeding the maximum permitted level.
The recall involves all packs of frozen squid of the brand "Brasmar" with article number "3798" and expiry date 25.9.2018. Product is in packs of 1kg (net weight, drained net weight = 800g).
Cadmium was found in 10 mg/kg - ppm in frozen whole squid from Vietnam and was also distributed to Italy.
