Food safety recall round-up 24-30 March 2017
Soup unfit for consumption
UK: Marks & Spencer has recalled some soup because it is unfit for human consumption.
Chicken and Vegetable Soup 600g with date 30 March 2017 and UPC 00711135 is affected.
The firm said the reason for the recall is a taint in the product caused by possible chemical contamination.
"Marks & Spencer has removed Chicken & Vegetable Soup 600g from sale whilst we conduct investigations with our supplier.
"Customers should not consume the affected date code of this product and any customers in possession of this product can return it to their nearest store where a full refund will be given."
The issue follows customer complaints of an off-taint and the product was distributed to Ireland and Hong Kong.
