Norway: Bernh. Botolfsen import AS has withdrawn oranges from Egypt via the Netherlands due to pesticides exceeding Norwegian limits.
The firm received 80 cartons of oranges and 58 were sold to Odd Langdalen engros, Mjøsfrukt engros and Keiser fruktmarked in Jessheim.
Products labeled "Valencia oranges" with tracking number 020103 and lot number 0703 are affected.

Analysis demonstrated 0.024 mg ometoat/kg and 0.13 mg dimethoate/kg sample of orange.
Ometoat and dimethoate are used as insecticides. The limit in Norway is 0.02 mg/kg.
