benzo(a)pyrene and PAHs prompt recall
Germany: Schneekoppe has recalled linseed oil due to exceeding the maximum levels of benzo(a)pyrene and PAK4.
Schneekoppe Leinöl 250ml Klassik with date 2-3-2017 is affected.
benzo(a)pyrene was found at 31.9 µg/kg - ppb and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons at PAK4: 109.7, according to the RASFF portal.
The product was distributed to Austria, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Hungary, Latvia, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland.
