Apples recall expands
Canada: Industry is recalling Granny Smith apples and Gala apples exported by Bidart Bros. in the US due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
Identified importers of the recalled products include Beauvais Ltee. and Courchesne Larose. Items were also imported by and sold at Coosemans Montreal Inc.

The CFIA said it is verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace. The food recall warning updated an initial announcement on December 24 to include additional product information.
