10. US class action slams ‘chemical Coke’ for phosphoric acid use

It’s March 2014 and Coke has just been hit with a class action lawsuit alleging it made false, deceptive claims that its eponymous brand was ‘healthy and natural’, after soda sales slid from 2008. The company dismissed a ‘meritless’ lawsuit driven by ‘class action lawyers [who have the] pretense of protecting people’.
