Aldi's vegan steak bake
Supermarket Aldi is adding to its vegan range with a new Plant Menu 'no steak bake'.
Available in the freezer aisle, the plant-based product costs $1.19 for a pack of two.
"In an Aldi first, the supermarket is bringing the infamous bakery shop favourite – the vegan steak bake - to stores near you," the company said.
"The plant-based savoury bake resembles a classic steak bake in appearance and taste. [It is] made with a meatless filling using soya protein, and encased within a golden, crisp and flaky vegan pastry, using a blend of vegetable oils."
