Undeclared allergens in spring rolls
Canada: McCain Foods is recalling Wong Wing brand Vegetable Spring Rolls due to undeclared allergens.
Wong Wing said some Vegetable Spring Roll 545g have Oriental Dumpling – Vegetable inside. Among other ingredients, the mislabeled product will not disclose hydrolyzed soy protein (in the soy sauce) or celery (in the Vegetable Dumping) and may cause an adverse reaction to consumers who are sensitive or allergic to these ingredients.
The affected items have production date September 13, 2016 and were distributed at retail level in Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
The product is named "Wong Wing Vegetable Spring Roll – 6 Rolls" and the graphics have lot code identifier: T160913A.
Wong said there have been no adverse reactions reported and consumers should dispose or return the productt to the grocery store for a refund.
