Warning for potentially unsafe MDA Products
UK: The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned consumers about fish and chicken supplied by MDA Products that have been repackaged in an unapproved premises.
The agency said the products are subject of labelling and traceability contraventions.They may have 'best before' or 'use by' dates extended beyond those set by the manufacturers and without authorisation.
All products of animal origin packed and supplied by MDA Products (all date and batch codes) are affected. As they were handled in an unapproved establishment, they may be potentially unsafe.
Retail chains Frozen Value trading as Fultons Foods and Jack Fultons, Factory Foods and Home Bargains are affected and it is possible products may have been sold through other distribution channels.
