Scottish seaweed seasoning aimed at US
Scottish manufacturer Mara Seaweed launched it range of seaweed products in the US on June 20.
Its new product Furikake, was described as, “an East-West flavour fusion of Dulse seaweed, toasted sesame seeds and chili flakes. Furikake means shake or sprinkle in Japanese.”
Recipe delivery service, Blue Apron’s customers will receive Mara Furikake in their recipe boxes from the end of June.
The firm’s seaweed products will be available to 300,000 homes as part of Blue Apron’s meal boxes and in restaurants through Chefs’ Warehouse.
