Ongoing: Salmonella in cucumbers
An update of a multi-month outbreak in November told us that people sickened by Salmonella from cucumbers rose again to 838 illnesses from 38 states.
CDC said although it is unlikely recalled cucumbers are still in homes, restaurants or grocery stores, they should not be eaten, served, or sold.
Investigations identified cucumbers imported from Mexico and distributed by Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce as the likely source.
FQN has spoken to Dave Murray at Andrew & Williamson Fresh Produce this month and will publish an article soon.
