Salmonella in organic tahini
25 January - Czech Republic: Salmonella has been found in sesame paste Alnatura.
The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA/SZPI in Czech) received information about bacterial contamination of Salmonella in tahini sesame paste Alnatura Bio Sesammus in a 250g package, with the date of minimum durability 9.5.2016.
SZPI ordered vendors in question to immediately withdraw the product and also encouraged all consumers not to eat it.
The product, which came from Germany, was distributed to Austria, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switerzerland also.
