Food Safety recall round-up 1-7 August
Mushroom Listeria fears
6 August - Canada: Avina Fresh Mushrooms brand Sliced Crimini Mushrooms are being recalled due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The mushrooms come in a 454g pack with a UPC of 8 90445 00137 9.
The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results. CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
