Labelling error leads to drink recall
3 December - Australia: Asahi Premium Beverages Pty has recalled Vodka Cruiser Sugar Free Pomegranate & Guava due to the presence of phenylalanine which is not stated on the packaging.
Food products containing phenylalanine may cause illness in consumers who have the rare genetic disorder Phenylketonuria (PKU).
The recall of the pre-mixed alcoholic drink affects Dan Murphy's, Liquorland, First Choice Liquor, Vintage Cellars and other independent liquor stores nationally and includes all best before dates in the marketplace.
The 275ml (individual bottle) may be sold in a 4 pack, single flavour carton, mixed 6 pack or mixed carton.
