Excess histamine prompts tuna recall
September - Greece: Excess histamine in tuna in oil has prompted a recall, according to the Hellenic Food Authority (EFET).
An excess of the maximum permitted histamine levels occurred in the sample in collaboration with the B’ Chemical Service in Thessaloniki of the General Chemical State Laboratory.
The product with code T78E2COYN 35GEA, had a production date of 10-5-2013 and best before date 10-5-2018 and is distributed by "D. & N. MARGARITIS S.A."
EFET requested the immediate recall/withdrawal of the product by the company.
