Eating three or more servings a week of green leafy vegetables or
roots vegetables could reduce the risk of stomach cancer by between
35 and 57 per cent, suggests a prospective study from Sweden.
Garlic and onions could help protect against stomach cancer, says a
massive European-based study, but total fruit and vegetable intake
has no benefit for this disease.
In a reversal of previous research, a comprehensivestudy released
on Wednesday shows that drinking green tea offers no protection
againststomach cancer.
