SchapfenMühle Dinkel Porridge
SchapfenMühle is launching four varieties of porridge under its Dinkel brand in Germany.
The company said the innovation "combines three trends - spelled, porridge and superfood".
The four types of spelled porridge are: natural, cranberry coconut, orange ginger and aronia sour cherry. SchapfenMühle said that the four varieties "offer a suitable variant for every taste".
The spelled porridge is combined with 150 ml of boiling water and can be eaten after 4-5 minutes. The porridge comes in single portion packs, making it "easy to prepare the spelled porridge quickly and easily anywhere, whether at home, at school or in the office".
Spelled Porridge is suitable as a breakfast or snack, the manufacturer suggested. The products are sweetened with fructose.
Each variety has a different suggested retail price: natural's RRP is €1.99, cranberry coconut's RRP is €2.19, orange ginger's RRP is €2.49, and aronia sour cherry's RRP is €2.99. The porridge is set for a nationwide rollout to hypermarkets, supermarkets and discounters throughout Germany.
