Cleaning residue in dairy products
Norway: TINE has recalled some products due to suspicions there may be detergent residue in milk and cream produced at a plant in Sem, Vestfold.
Milk and cream labeled "M196" next to the date marking on top of the carton are affected.
It applies to 1,75L Lett Tinemelk (Best before 26.7.16), 3dl Økologisk Kremfløte (Best before 26.7.16), 1L Lett Tinemelk (Best before 26.7.16), 1L Skummet Tinemelk (Best before 28.7.16), 1L Økologisk Lett Tinemelk (Best before 26.7.16), 1L Hel Tinemelk (Best before 26.7.16).
TINE said it is a very dilute cleaning solution so the health risk is low and even small concentrations will be easy to spot, as it affects the product's taste and odour.
Products were shipped to stores in Telemark, Vestfold and Buskerud.
