Food Safety recall round-up 24-30 October
Cashews contaminated with Salmonella
27 October - USA: Chetak New York is recalling three sizes of deep raw cashew pieces because they could be contaminated with Salmonella.
The notice includes 5560 packages of 7oz., 3840 packages of 14oz., & 1920 packages of 28oz nuts.
Products were distributed nationwide in retail stores from March 12 to October 21.
Potential for contamination was noted after routine testing by the FDA but no illnesses have been reported to date.
