Listeria in cheese recall expanded
30 July - Canada: Updated information has been provided about the Igor brand Gorgonzola Cheese that could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Agropur, the product's importer, said it was distributed in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick but may have also be in other provinces.
Igor Gorgonzola Igorcreme DOP 1/8 1.5kg with a unique product code of 2190010 014222 is the new product affected by the recall, while Il Villaggio brand Gorgonzola Dolce Cheese, imported from Italy, old in a 150g package bearing UPC 67400 01454 9 is also subject to the recall.
