Data monitoring system puts 360° vision at processors' fingertips
FoodProductionDaily.com caught up with Neil Giles, of Mettler Toledo, at the recent Interpack trade show to find out about how its latest data management software can boost processing performance.
The marketing manager explained the company had developed the ProdX system as a response to demands from retailers and increasingly stringent food safety standards such as ISO 22000 and BRC.
A core element of Mettler's 360° inspection capability, the software collates information from metal detectors, check weighers and X-ray systems.
It provides key information to production managers in a user-friendly format that not only maximises uptime but also boosts production efficiencies, said Giles from the Düsseldorf show.
ProdX’s ability to monitor condition of all equipment allows it to flag potential problems before they occur.
