Reporter Firstly, we are looking for a bright, enthusiastic reporter to join Decision News Media's team of food industry journalists, focusing on the nutrition, dietary supplements and functional foods sectors. This is a mid-level reporter position that would suit a graduate with a journalism or related degree and at least two years' experience in business-to-business or business/financial field. Demonstrable interest in or experience of the food industry would be an advantage. We require a sharp journalist with strong news instincts, along with good organisational skills and the ability to learn. The candidate would also benefit from cuttings as well as awards that demonstrate striking potential. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the advantages and vitality of online news publishing, and the way that business readers consume information online as well as from traditional media. In addition, they will be driven and ambitious, with a desire to win more awards and take our publications into new areas of coverage through innovation, analytical skills and a determination to shine. Junior reporter Our second vacancy is for a junior reporter to work across Decision News Media's food sites. This job would suit a recent graduate with a journalism degree. Hands-on experience in journalism would be an advantage but is not essential. Far more important is a keen interest in business-to-business news, strong research and writing skills and the confidence to interview decision-makers at the highest level. An ability to work well under pressure and quickly develop the skills to write at speed and to deliver accurate copy to deadline will also be expected.
