Packaging revamp for Puratos
Puratos, which supplies patisserie and chocolate ingredients to industry, is rolling out 100% recycle-ready packaging.
The new packaging uses paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and an ink reduction of up to 70%. They are also being made with a more sustainable production process, with fewer chemicals and less energy used.
“At Puratos, we are making major strides towards improving the sustainability of our packaging,” said Sophie Blum, chief marketing and channels officer at the company. “It’s a major undertaking, with the size and diversity of our global portfolio.
“We are striving towards a better and more sustainable future.”
The supplier has ambitions to become carbon neutral across operations by 2025 and to claim zero-waste-to-landfill by 2030.
