Listeria in chevrè cheese
Norway: Sarrazac AS has recalled Romarin and Lorenthym chevrè cheese due to Listeria monocytogenes.
The cheeses were sold at Ma Poule AS at Mathallen in Oslo. They are made from unpasteurized goat's milk and produced in France by Gaec de Caperan.
L. monocytogenes was found in several samples of cheese from the producer and one case of listeriosis in France has been linked to the products.
L. monocytogenes was detected at 420; <400 CFU/g and raw milk goat's cheese was also distributed to Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and the UK.
