Undeclared milk in chicken sausages
US: Demakes Enterprises is recalling more than 32,000 pounds of fully cooked chicken sausage due to it containing milk which is not declared on the label.
The buffalo-style chicken sausage item was produced and packed between January 20 and August 10, 2017, said the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS).
10 oz. vacuum-sealed packages containing five pieces of “Thin ‘n Trim Fully Cooked Chicken Sausage Buffalo Style” with use by dates from May 17-2017 to December 6-2017 were shipped to retail in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
The problem was discovered by FSIS Inspection Program Personnel during routine label verification. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.
