Food safety recall round-up 1-17 November 2016
Pesticide level in oranges
Norway: COOP has withdrawn oranges from South Africa because high levels of the pesticide Metidation were found.
The pesticide chlorpyrifos was also detected but not over the limit. Both substances are organophosphates that affect an insects nervous system.
COOP has sent out 280 boxes of 16.5kg bulk weight oranges labeled with batch: D54761080.
They were sold in Coop Mega, Coop Prix, Coop Extra, Coop Marked, Coop Matkroken and Coop OBS since 22 October.
