Macaron ice cream
French food start-up Papila Collection has teamed up with renowned pastry chef Pierre Hermé to create a gourmet take on an ice cream sandwich: the macaron ice cream.
The company is launching three flavours: vanilla, chocolate and Ispahan (a flavour made famous by Laduree, the most famous macaron vendor in France).
Pierre Hermé and Papila Collection want to make the ‘gourmet’ treat accessible to the ‘general public’. Products will be on sale through Auchan supermarkets.
A box of two macaron ice creams will be sold for €8.45.
