Plastic in chicken patties
USA: Foster Poultry Farms is recalling 131,880 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat breaded chicken patty that may be contaminated with plastic.
The problem was discovered when the firm received three consumer complaints about foreign materials in the products.
Contaminants were pieces of clear, soft plastic that came from the establishment’s packaging materials. There were no confirmed reports of injury.
The frozen, ready-to-eat breaded chicken patties were produced on February 15 and shipped to distribution centers in Alaska, Arizona, California, Utah and Washington.
5-lb. bags containing 20 pieces of “Foster Farms chicken patties breaded chicken breast patties with rib meat” with best by date of 2/15/18 are affected.
