Food Safety recall round-up 22-28 January 2016
Misbranding and additive prompts recall
USA: Berks Packing Co is recalling 1,320 pounds of beef products that may contain pork and erythorbate, an additive.
The beef knockwurst links were produced on November 12, 2015 and have a sell by date of March 11, 2016, said the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
They were shipped to retail in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, West Virginia, Virginia and Delaware.
The problem was discovered by company personnel who learned of incorrect labels being applied to the product and notified FSIS inspectors but there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.
