Grated Coconut
France: Leclerc, Cora, Auchan and System U have recalled grated coconut products from Indonesia due to the presence of Salmonella enterica ser. Weltevreden (presence /25g).
Each of the retailer branded coconut was backed in 125g bags with a best before date of 25 January 2019.
Foodborne illness caused by salmonella causes gastrointestinal disturbances, often accompanied by fever within 48 hours after consumption of contaminated products. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly.
