Cheddar recalled in US after positive Listeria monocytogenes result
11 June – Golden Glen Creamery is recalling its Red Pepper with Onion and Garlic Cheddar after a sample taken by the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) confirmed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
“The Red Pepper with Onion & Garlic Cheddar, code 887, is being voluntarily recalled by Golden Glen Creamery, as a result of a single surveillance sample collected and analysed by the Washington State Department of Agriculture that was found to be positive for Listeria monocytogenes,” said the recall notification.
“The company has ceased the distribution of the identified batch,” it added.
To date no illnesses have been linked to the recalled products.
