Nestlé’s stepping into Christmas with the launch of its biggest ever festive range. And based on the actions of its main competitors, the announcement’s not a moment too soon.

Because, yes it is only the beginning of September, and yes we are still weeks away from Halloween, but Christmas Creep is real and even months ahead could be behind.

Just look at Mars, Inc. The confectionery and snacking giant released its Christmas range back in July. A move swiftly followed by Mondelēz International at the beginning of August.

What was once a fourth-quarter sales event is now becoming a months-long brand battle.

But we digress. Let’s get back to Nestlé and discover what the world’s biggest CPG has lined up for Christmas 2026.

Nestlé’s Christmas Collection

The Swiss chocolate maker is giving its biggest names, including KitKat, Milkybar, Smarties and After Eight, a festive makeover, and leaning heavily into gifting in the process.

There are KitKat F1 Collectable Tins, KitKat F1 Selection Boxes, KitKat Santas, Milkybar Caramel Crunch bars, Smarties and After Eight Advent Calendars, After Eight Chocolate Oranges, Rowntree’s Randoms ‘Sleigh Tastic’ bags, and Smarties Reindeer Drops.

In other words, the multinational’s going all in this festive season.

Gifting

The emphasis on gifting in Nestlé’s Christmas collection is particularly significant.

While advent calendars and traditional seasonal treats remain staples of the category, manufacturers are increasingly looking to encourage spending right across the season, from stocking fillers to workplace Secret Santa.

Plus, it taps into one of confectionery’s most powerful trends – collaborations.

Brand collaborations

Arguably the standout feature of the line-up is the continued expansion of KitKat’s Formula 1 partnership.

The collectable tins and themed selection boxes bring one of the year’s most prominent brand collaborations into the festive aisle, giving retailers a point of difference in an increasingly crowded seasonal confectionery market.

“KitKat is entering Christmas 2026 with its biggest festive range yet,” says Rachael Mundy, marketing manager for seasonal and gifting confectionery at Nestlé UK & Ireland. “We’re expanding into more occasions than ever before, from stocking fillers and advent calendars to premium gifting.”

With Mars, Mondelēz and Nestlé now firmly in Christmas mode, attention turns to Ferrero Group, Lindt & Sprüngli and The Hershey Company to see who will be next to join the festive fray.
