Mighty Drinks expands into oat milk powder
UK plant-based milk company Mighty Drinks has added a new format to portfolio: Mighty Oat Milk Powder.
Sold in recyclable flexible packaging reduces packaging waste compared to traditional plant milks. The company claims that 103,000 tonnes of CO2 would be removed from the supply chain if just 10% of shoppers were to move to Mighty Oat Milk Powder.
The product is free from stabilisers and preservatives and contains just 2.6% sugar per service, which the start-up claims is 34% lower than the current market leader.
A 375g bag (which makes four litres of oat milk) has an RRP of £6.59 – equating to £1.65 per litre.
At the same time, Mighty Drinks is launching a range of Mighty Plant Protein Powders in two flavours: Cookies & Cream and Salted Caramel.
The 990g pack of plant protein powder is made from ‘multiple’ high quality protein sources, including pea and faba. It contains four grams of branch chain amino acids, and comes in at less than 120kcal per serving. The 510g product contains pea, faba, rice and sunflower.
“Our Ultimate range contains a mix of 15 additional vitamins and minerals and is also fortified with super green content,” noted the company.
Mighty Plant Protein has an RRP of £29.99 for 33 servings – equating got £0.99 per serve.
