The 69th Conference and Exposition for Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy brought together 11,415 conferees and exhibitor personnel.
A total of 25% of people came from outside the US and from 80 countries. Top five by attendance were China, Canada, Japan, the UK and Germany.
Attendees included lab managers, scientists, chemists, researchers and professors, from industrial, academic and government labs.
They represented disciplines including life and food science, drug discovery, environmental, nanotechnology, water/wastewater, agriculture and bioterrorism.
Pittcon offered more than 2,000 technical presentations presented in 68 symposia, 10 award sessions (15 awards presented), 14 oral sessions, 52 contributed sessions, five workshops and 67 poster sessions.

The show floor consisted of 713 exhibitors, of which 92 were first time, from 33 countries occupying 1,247 booths displaying the latest instrumentation and technology in laboratory science.
There were two specialized areas - the New Exhibitors and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) sections.
The interactive park area, called Alligator Alley, offered attendees DemoZones, the Lab Gauntlet Challenges, Lego Gravity Car Racing, Virtual Reality Experiences and the Pittcon Booths.
Two NEXUS Theaters held 22 presentations on topics from cannabis testing to lab safety.
Pittcon 2019 will be held 17-21 March in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
